From deep excavations in dense city environments to large-scale commercial and industrial construction, our team delivers deep foundations, ground improvement, and grouting solutions tailored to Chicago’s challenging subsurface conditions.
Based in Chicago, Keller supports projects across Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, and Michigan, including major metro areas such as Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, and St. Louis. Our teams deliver geotechnical solutions across dense urban environments, industrial corridors, and infrastructure projects throughout the region.
Chicago presents highly complex subsurface conditions that require specialized engineering solutions. Keller’s local teams have experience addressing:
These conditions demand advanced geotechnical techniques to ensure stability, control settlement, and support long-term performance in Chicago’s built environment.
Justin has more than 15 years of experience in geotechnical construction. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a focus on geotechnical engineering.
Since joining Keller in 2008, Justin has progressed through roles including Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Division Manager, and Project Executive, developing expertise in jet grouting, earth retention, micropiles, and driven piles while leading teams in the design and delivery of complex geotechnical projects.
He has decades of experience in geotechnical construction and deep foundation systems. He has held senior project management roles across multiple contractors, specializing in drilled shafts, auger cast piles, and secant piling, and brings a strong background in project planning and execution.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Science from Auburn University.
Jon oversees field operations, resource planning, equipment management, project execution, and operational performance across Keller’s Great Lakes region. Since joining Keller in 2010, he has progressed through field engineering, project management, senior project management, and operations leadership roles, supporting a wide range of deep foundation, earth retention, ground improvement, and specialty geotechnical construction projects. In his current role, Jon is responsible for understanding and evaluating site logistics, and allocating the appropriate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to safely execute Keller’s work.
He earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois.
