Samuel DeMott and Matt Redfern have written a feature story in May/June’s issue of ADSC Foundation Drilling Magazine discussing the California High-speed Rail Dutch John Cut and Cole Slough Bridge Foundations. The article highlights some of the largest drilled shafts installed in the transportation sector and among the largest by volume constructed by Keller.
“Dutch John Cut and Cole Slough were more than bridges—they highlighted the importance of precise installation in demanding deep foundation work. The projects required complex shaft construction carried out to strict specifications, with careful attention to safety and constructability under challenging site conditions. Executing work of this nature depends on experience in translating engineered designs into successful field performance, particularly where margins are tight and conditions are difficult.”
