Tanner Blackburn elected to the Deep Foundations Institute’s Board of Trustees for 2026.

Tanner is Vice President-Engineering of Keller in North America. Working with a team of engineers across the US and Canada, Tanner actively contributes to Keller’s design-build practice, focusing on technical risk management, engineering design competency, quality management, and innovation. Tanner is licensed in several states and has been the designer of record and project manager for ground improvement, grouting, piling, and earth retention projects.   

Tanner is an active member of DFI, serving on multiple technical committees, including as chair of the Ground Improvement committee from 2015 to 2019. He is also active within the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers (GI-ASCE) and other industry research advisory groups. 

Tanner received his B.A. in Physics from Middlebury College in 1998 and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Northwestern University in 2002 and 2005, respectively.   

Keller would also like to thank Business Development Executive Dan MacLean for his contribution as a member of the DFI Board of Trustees since 2019.
