Headshot of Joe

Joe Cavey is a Senior Vice President of Keller in North America.

Joe currently oversees US Foundations operations for Major Projects. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University and an MS in Civil Engineering from Northwestern University. Joe began his career with Keller (then Hayward Baker) in 1994 as a field engineer on large transit grouting projects before advancing through project management and senior leadership roles, including Area Manager, Mid-Atlantic Branch Vice President, and Vice President of Special Projects.

He has delivered complex geotechnical projects, including grouting, piling, ground improvement, landslide remediation, and support of excavation, across the US and has authored more than ten technical publications. In his most recent role, he focused on delivering large-scale projects, including electric vehicle manufacturing plants, data centers, power plants, and other major industrial facilities across the Southeast. In 2026, Joe was promoted to his current role of Senior Vice President.

Having begun his career as a field engineer, Joe is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers. In 2020, he helped launch the Field and Project Engineer Development Program, which formalized Keller’s training and development approach for entry-level engineers within the Southeast. The program has since expanded across Keller’s US operations and continues to deliver outstanding results.
